Thank you for registering for our yoga course. You have joined a wonderful community. I can't wait to get to know you and get started!

A few things before you begin:

  • Be sure to join the meeting 5 minutes before class begin so that you have time to set up your mat and reset your focus. Plus, we all know that technology can glitch, so give yourself some leeway.

  • Please wear stretchy, comfortable clothes. Expensive yoga brands are not necessary. :)

  • If you have any significant health concerns that you feel I should know for modifications or safety please contact me before the first day. Since you won't be in a class with others, it is very important that you take extra precautions with your health and safety.

  • You're at home. That means that pets, children, roommates, and well, LIFE, can sometimes make its way into the class. Minimize this as much as possible for your sake, but know that if others come in and out or you need to step out for a moment, there are no worries on my part.

Suggestions for at-home yoga props:

  • If you have a yoga mat, block and strap then please have them with you and set up before we begin class. However, in a pinch you could opt for a nice (non-slip) carpet instead of a mat, a belt (a robe belt is particularly good!) or towel instead of a strap, and some text books in place of a block.

  • If you struggle with balance, please set yourself up next to a wall, chair, or couch where you could support yourself if need be. Clear out the floor space so that there aren't any hazards in the way. For example, my kids love to leave their shoes everywhere!

  • Since you are home, why not lean into being extra cozy for Savasana? Feel free to have a pillow for under your knees, a cozy blanket, and maybe a towel or eye pillow for your eyes at the ready. It's your space, so extra touches like aromatherapy, candles and music that you like can help make the class just what you need.
